About the game

R-Eco puts players in charge of a trash-recycling company, using a hand of cards representing your truck to collect unsorted garbage from dump sites and deliver it to matching recycling centers. Fill a center's quota and the city pays you, but overload your truck's five-item limit and you'll have to dump the excess illegally at a cost. Through hand management and light drafting, the player who earns the most money becomes the city's sole authorized garbage collector. It's a quick 30-minute game for two to five players.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's editorial team likes how R-Eco turns an unglamorous environmental theme into a snappy, tightly-designed filler. The truck-capacity constraint creates just enough tension to keep every delivery decision interesting. It's light on depth but great as a quick warm-up or cooldown game.

What we like

  • Simple environmental theme makes it easy to teach quickly.
  • Quick 30-minute playtime fits any game night.
  • Light hand management offers enough decision-making to stay interesting.
  • Works well as a filler alongside heavier games.

Keep in mind

  • Light complexity may not satisfy players wanting deeper strategy.
  • Limited long-term depth across many repeat plays.
  • Hand management can feel fiddly as cards cycle.

Who it's for

Good for families and casual gamers age 8+ looking for a quick filler, in groups of two to five.
