About the game
Resurgence is a competitive Euro-style game for up to four players set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland after the collapse of civilization. Each player leads a hero and a band of survivors, secretly deploying workers to gather resources, rescue survivors, and build up their base. The game blends bag-building with hidden worker placement, so you never quite know where your opponents are sending their people until reveals happen. End-game directive cards and random events keep each of the roughly 90-minute sessions feeling different. It supports solo play as well as competitive four-player games.
Hobbli's Notes
The hidden worker placement is the real hook here: trying to guess where opponents are secretly investing adds a layer of mind games you don't often see in bag-building games. The bleak survivor theme is well realized through the mission and resource icons. We think it rewards a couple of plays before its systems fully click. It's a satisfying mid-weight choice for groups who like Euro mechanics with a bit of hidden information tension.
