About the game

Mysterium Park reimagines the acclaimed cooperative deduction game Mysterium in a smaller, faster package set against a spooky 1950s fairground backdrop. Players take on the roles of psychics trying to solve the mystery of the park's missing director, guided only by strange visions sent by a mute ghost through evocative illustrated cards. The ghost player must interpret the case file and communicate clues silently, helping the psychics eliminate suspects, locations, and weapons before time runs out. With streamlined rules, faster setup, and the same core deduction mechanism as the original, it's an easier gateway into cooperative mystery-solving. Atmospheric artwork brings the eerie carnival setting vividly to life.

Hobbli's Notes

Hobbli's team loves that Mysterium Park keeps everything charming about the original Mysterium's silent-clue-giving gameplay while trimming the setup and playtime significantly. It's a great choice for groups who want the cooperative deduction experience without a long rules explanation. The creepy carnival theme and gorgeous card art create a genuinely immersive mood at the table. It works especially well as an easier on-ramp before trying the full Mysterium experience.

What we like

  • Streamlined, faster version of the acclaimed Mysterium formula.
  • Atmospheric 1950s carnival theme with striking artwork.
  • Silent clue-giving creates memorable, laughter-filled deduction.
  • Easy to teach, making it a great cooperative gateway game.

Keep in mind

  • Ghost player role can feel less active than the psychic roles.
  • Interpreting abstract vision cards may frustrate literal thinkers.
  • Simplified from the original, offering less depth for veteran Mysterium fans.

Who it's for

Great for families and casual groups (8+) who enjoy cooperative deduction and storytelling games; plays well with 4-6 players.
