About the game
Codenames: Duet reworks the classic word-association game into a fully cooperative two-player experience. Both of you see the same grid of twenty-five words, but each has a different key card showing which words are your agents, which are innocent bystanders, and which are deadly assassins. Taking turns giving one-word clues, you work together to identify all fifteen agents between you before time runs out: without ever touching an assassin. Because you don't fully know your partner's key card, careful, precise clue-giving is essential. It's a clever, tense twist that turns a party classic into an intimate two-player puzzle.
Hobbli's Notes
Codenames: Duet is a brilliant adaptation for two players, turning the original's party energy into a tight, cooperative communication puzzle. The asymmetric key cards mean you're never entirely sure what your partner is thinking, which keeps every clue meaningful. It's quick to play and endlessly replayable thanks to the sheer number of word-card combinations. A wonderful pick for couples or close friends who enjoy games like Hanabi or The Crew.
