About the game
Photograph (also known as Wind the Film!) is a light card game set in 1960s Japan, where players carry a half-size camera and try to organize their photographs into the best possible order. Each turn, you add cards to the front of your hand without disturbing their order, shift one card closer to the front, then discard cards from the back equal to the number you added. Once the sunset card appears, no more photos can be taken, and everyone scores based on what remains in their camera. It's a tight hand-ordering puzzle wrapped in a nostalgic photography theme.
Hobbli's Notes
A clever little hand-management puzzle that rewards careful sequencing over flashy plays. Its nostalgic 1960s Japan theme gives it a distinctive, relaxed charm for a filler game.
What we like
- Clever hand-ordering puzzle mechanism.
- Quick roughly 20-minute playtime.
- Charming, nostalgic 1960s photography theme.
- Easy to teach to new players.
Keep in mind
- Limited direct player interaction.
- Theme integration is fairly light over the core mechanism.
- Scoring pattern can feel repetitive across many plays.
