About the game
Odin's Ravens is a two-player card game where players race magical ravens, Hugin and Munin, across a track of Norse-mythology landscape cards. Each player manages a hand of cards to advance their raven while playing special Odin cards to twist the track or hinder their rival. Rounds end when a raven reaches the finish, scoring points based on the distance between the two birds, and the first to twelve points wins. It's a tight, tactical two-player race full of clever comebacks.
Hobbli's Notes
Odin's Ravens is a lovely little two-player card racer: the ability to rearrange the track keeps both players in contention right up to the finish line, so it rarely feels like a foregone conclusion. Its Norse mythology art and theme add real charm to a fairly abstract racing puzzle.
What we like
- Clever track manipulation keeps races close until the end.
- Quick 30-minute playtime for two.
- Charming Norse mythology theme and artwork.
- Comeback mechanics keep tension high.
Keep in mind
- Two-player only limits group use.
- Abstract racing puzzle may feel repetitive over many plays.
Who it's for
