About the game
Black Fleet drops three to four players into a tactical, card-driven battle for riches on the Caribbean seas. Each player commands merchant ships to earn doubloons, pirate ships to plunder rivals, and Navy ships to hunt down pirates, all while upgrading their fleet with advancement cards. Fortune cards add bursts of powerful combos and surprises to keep every turn interesting. Money earned honestly or otherwise fuels your race to be the wealthiest captain in the Caribbean. It's a swashbuckling game of piracy, trade, and cunning.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team enjoys Black Fleet's blend of economic development and pirate-flavored aggression. The variable ship roles give players real strategic choices about how aggressive or mercantile to be each game. Fortune cards keep the tension high without making the game feel purely chaotic. A solid pick for groups who like a little swashbuckling take-that mixed into their strategy games.
