About the game

Avenue is a fast-playing flip-and-write game where up to ten players simultaneously draw roads on their own player sheets to connect farms and castles to grapes. Each round reveals a card dictating the type of road segment everyone must draw, with occasional scoring cards triggering point evaluation for a randomly revealed farm. Since the scoring order isn't known in advance, players must constantly adapt their route-building strategy. Careful planning is rewarded, and greedy early scoring can backfire if a later farm connects to more grapes. It's a light, quick puzzle perfect for larger groups with minimal downtime.

Hobbli's Notes

Avenue is a clever roll-and-write-style game that manages to support up to ten players with almost no downtime, since everyone draws simultaneously. Hobbli's team appreciates the tension of not knowing which farm will be scored next, forcing constant strategic adjustment. At just 15 minutes, it's an easy, satisfying filler for big groups or family game nights. The push-your-luck scoring twist adds just enough bite to keep repeat plays interesting.

What we like

  • Simultaneous play keeps everyone engaged.

Keep in mind

  • Paper-and-pencil format means sheets are consumable.
