About the game
In Fertility, you play a Nomarch managing a Metropolis along the Nile, collecting resources like alabaster, papyrus, and wheat to build lucrative districts and supply your shops. Each turn boils down to three quick steps: gather resources, spend them to build, and stock your shops, but every choice is irreversible and unused resources are lost forever. Over nine tense turns, you must optimize a tight resource loop to earn the most Debens by the game's end. It's a lean, puzzle-like resource management game with real bite in its decision-making.
Hobbli's Notes
Hobbli's team appreciates how Fertility distills resource management down to tough, irreversible choices each round. The lack of a "waste bin" for unused resources keeps every turn meaningful, which rewards players who like optimization puzzles. It's compact enough to play in under an hour but still delivers a satisfying brain-burn. A nice pick for fans of tight, efficiency-focused euro games.
